Zombie-personas are dangerous

While preparing a workshop on personas, I was reading about the danger of using them…! I found it very interesting that the exercice of creating a representation of a targeted user to support your designing decisions could be hazardous to a project.

voice and data mobile traffic, but who?

Ericsson has announced that during December 2009, the traffic of data has surpassed the traffic of voice. They also announce that 400 million mobile broadband subscriptions are now generating more data traffic than the voice traffic from the total 4.6 billion mobile subscriptions around the world. Passed the PR talk, what does it really tell us?

  1. People use the Web anywhere. It has nothing to do with mobile. It has to do with making actions on data… now.

Where is the (Web Site) Kitchen?

Imagine, you are working for an architecture agency. A client comes and says I need a new restaurant. The interview process is starting. Understanding the branding, the needs of the clients, the type of food, the capacity, etc. A few kpis (Key performance indicators) are defined. And then the conceptual work will start, hopefully the content (the menu) is available.
