Refonte du Lab (Part 3): some sketches…

continuing from Part 2 - that deals with our objectives for the Lab.

Thinking of highlevel features that will also work for our mobile version:

  • keeping and tidying up the “activity feed” on the home page.
  • extend activity on author profile pages, to show their latest activity
  • featured/most popular content on home page.

Some of my brainstorm sessions included trying to visualize a timeline for activity and a better filtering process for searching old… …

Refonte du Lab (PART 2): Refining the objectives

This is elaborating on the objectives found in Part 1.

Objectives along with more thoughts:

  1. Increase community participation (authors/visitors):
    • question potential/current authors on views of the lab. what discourages them from posting content?
    • determine what UI (or absent UI elements) could hinder authors or visitors, from participating.
    • ensure that users know what content they are reading. is content unclear, labeled poorly, hierarchy issues? are you getting lost in content?
    • add interactions for make participation easier.
